# Glitztype

Create retro WordArt-style text as transparent PNGs, free and local-only. No account needed.

## What is Glitztype?

Glitztype turns any name or word into gloriously retro WordArt as a transparent PNG in seconds — free, no account, nothing uploaded — instead of fighting Canva's paywalled transparent exports or mourning the 1997 WordArt gallery.

## Who is it for?

Office managers, teachers and party hosts like Nadia who make banners, cards and signs every week.

## How to use it?

1. Type a name or word in the input field
2. Choose from a variety of retro WordArt styles
3. Adjust font, bend and other settings
4. Download your creation as a transparent PNG instantly
5. Copy the share link — it encodes the full piece (text, style, font, bend and colors) in the URL itself, so a friend opens the exact same thing with nothing uploaded

## Honest limits

- No account required: You can't save your creations online (but a shareable encoded URL carries the full piece locally, with no server)
- Browser only: Works only in modern browsers with canvas support
- Local processing: No server-side rendering or advanced effects
- Basic fonts: Only system fonts are available
